VGC 14

Things to test later: Tailwind counters, Petal Blizzard + Sap Sipper

deaglebeagle: so it looks like tar krookodile greninja gengar scizor chandy, one of those should be on every team
deaglebeagle: or something that stops perish song
deaglebeagle: like taunt

Tips:
1. Don't use a physical mon with sash, because you cannot lead with it vs intimidate and if you switch in when it is in the back, sash breaks
2. Don't use moves under 90% accuracy ever
3. Need Chandelure in TR, but don't lead without Intimidate ally versus Kanga on their 6, or if they have Mawile on their 6 but you lack sash
4. If you see Ludicolo or another random swift swimmer/chlorophyll user that is not very good unless there is weather assisting it, then assume they use rain dance/sunny day with an ally; especially one whom gets priority; like Sableye or Meowstic.

Usable spread moves for power in TR: Heat Wave (Chandelure), Dark Void, Rock Slide, Earthquake, Sludge Wave, Surf, Discharge

Usable Levitators/Flying types: Dragonite, Zapdos, Charizard, Aerodactyl, Crobat, Talonflame, Gengar, Salamence, Starraptor, Rotom forms, Hydreigon

Threats and how to counter them:

Kangaskhan-Mega @ Kangaskhanite
Ability: Parental Bond
EVs: 252 Atk / 240 HP / 16 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Power-Up Punch
- Sucker Punch
- Frustration

This set allows Kangaskhan to use its ability to get in a lot of priority hits, and Power-Up Punch is used to increase its offense; as well as deal with Rock and Steel Types. The first hit could break a Chople Berry, and the second hits them without their berry; thus doing more damage. Frustration is a strong STAB move. I picked Adamant with bulk, because the emphasis is on the power of its priority and more bulk allows it to more effectively use Power-Up Punch to improve its power; speed is not really needed. It could be used on some kind of alternate set though. This set was made for singles so it may not be ideal for doubles.

OR

Kangaskhan-Mega @ Kangaskhanite
Ability: Parental Bond
EVs: 252 Atk / 148 Spd / 104 HP / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
- Return
- Power-Up Punch
- Sucker Punch
- Fake Out

This set is made for out-speeding many more things and not relying nearly as much on Sucker Punch for finishing things off or in general. I have never used Kangaskhan, but I feel this set is the best in doubles. The other set is made more for singles.

Counter Kangaskhan by: Will O Wisp especially by priority with wide lens/zoom lens, Intimidate, Foul Play after it raises its Atk, Lum fighting types that OHKO (Conkeldurr, Machamp, etc) faster fighting types (Mienshao, Mega Lucario, etc), Ghost types that beat Sucker Punch (Aegislash, Gengar, etc), Zapdos with Twave and Roost w/ Rocky Helmet, Mega Zard with OH, Pain Split? etc

The Gardy Kanga combo is annoying. Even if they don't lead with it, you have to be worried about them having both on the same team. Since almost all the Intimidate users get countered hard by Gardevoir, it creates a big problem. Mawile is the only Intimidate user that counters through this. Be especially careful to beat Scarf Timid Gardevoirs (up to 145 speed before Scarf).

Gardy Kanga counters: Mawile-Mega, Aegislash, Sashed Gengar, Chandy if with Intimidate ally - needs to wall Dazzling Gleam + Sucker Punch from Kanga and Gardy - Busted since if it walls both it has really bad speed, Scizor, Escavalier, Ferrothorn, Lucario-Mega,  Zard + Chlorophyll ally like Venusaur, Hawlucha, Drizzle + Swift Swim ally - Busted, since they wall it easily, Scarf Nidoking ohkos Gardy 75% of the time assuming they lack any kind of bulk, Will O Wisp with a fast mon like Zard X or Super Gourgeist with that and Leech Seed, Skunktank with Foul Play (Since it isn't weak to Psychic nor Moonblast) or Klefki but it is weaker. Scarf Machamp. http://veekun.com/dex/pokemon/search?sort=evolution-chain&introduced_in=1&introduced_in=2&introduced_in=3&introduced_in=4&introduced_in=5&introduced_in=6&in_pokedex=14&in_pokedex=13&in_pokedex=12&type=fighting

Belly Drum Azumarill Counters: Amoonguss, Safety Goggles Rotom-W, Will O Wisp, Fake Out, Taunt, Ferrothorn, Ludicolo, Feint, Faster Priority, Foul Play, Drought, Quick Guard, Venusaur, Aegislash with Sub', Focus Sash, Reflect, Dry Skin, Grass Types, Topsy Turvy, Haze, Punishment, Power Swap, Psych Up, Unnerve to disable their Sitrus Berry, Incinerate, Bug Bite, Sky Drop, Pluck, Follow Me, Intimidate

Lucario vs. Mienshao debate:

Lucario pros: They expect it to mega evolve, so may fake out it, but it has inner focus. It has more accurate moves. It has a STAB priority move that SE's some things (like gardy) and hits everything. It has better defensive typing.

Lucario cons: It is not as fast as Mienshao and Mienshao is slightly more powerful. Its ability is the same as Mienshao's. Some could argue that pure Fighting type is a better typing, since it is less likely to be weak to things. However this is debatable, because Lucario resists more things with its typing and this seems more useful while holding a focus sash.

Most of these kinds of differences between Mienshao and Lucario are very slight. The main difference I see is the speed, accuracy of its move used to kill Kanga (since that is its main point of using either mon), and the effectiveness of their 4th moves. Bullet Punch seems more useful than Feint, but it is definitely debatable; since Feint going through protect can change a game around. These moves are all debatable, but I will post both of my sets. I recommend Mienshao, because it out-speeds Kanga before it attacks, and most Kanga's do not have protect; or at least won't use it. It also does not have the "scare factor" of someone being scared off of a perceived Lucario-Mega lead. They expect Drain Punch on Mienshao.

Usable spread moves in or outside TR: " " and Icy Wind, Electroweb, Hyper Voice

Usable FO Users: Below listed, and Mienshao and Kangaskhan

Useful FO users in tr: Ludicolo, Mr. Mime (only with Chandelure as a TR user), Blastoise, Scrafty

Useful attackers in TR: Life Orb Tar, Specs Chandelure, Mega Mawile, CB Aggron with Sturdy,

Usable supporting ally moves: Rage Powder

Usable Ground attackers: Krookodile, Rhyperior, Hippowdon, Mamoswine, Garchomp

Tailwind Counters: Faster Tailwind team, Trick Room, Taunt, Snatch, Thunder Wave, Glare, Protect/Wide Guard/King's Shield etc Spam, Prankster Encore, Intimidate, Bulky pokemon

Spore counters (not listing things with a < 90% chance of working): Safeguard, Grass Types, Lum Berry, Safety Goggles, Taunt, Chesto Berry, Magic Bounce, Insomnia, Vital Spirit, Sleep Talk, Substitute, Magic Coat, Imprison Spore, Misty Terrain, Forest Curse ally, Ally Switch, Electric Terrain, Faster spore, Reflect type, Torment (kinda), Disable (kinda), Snore, Uproar, Early Bird, Sweet Veil, Leaf Guard, Natural Cure, Hydration, Marvel Scale, Guts,

Usable Safeguarders: Chandelure, Meowstic, Klefki, Venusaur, Vileplume, Alakazam, Slowking, Kangaskhan, Scizor, Dragonite, Ampharos, Gardevoir, Abomasnow, Gothitelle, Golurk, Sylveon,

Usable Intimidators: Salamence, Gyarados, Scrafty, Mawile, Krookodile

Usable TR mons: Slowbro, Malamar, Gardevoir, Chandelure, Slowking, Gothitelle

Synchronoise = Only works versus very few mons, and hits ally
Sticky Web = Doesn't affect the two leading mons, only 4 pokemon used in VGC so it doesn't reach very much potential, only mons who learn it are gimmicky/bad, doesn't affect flying/levitating/balloon pokemon, but overall it is usable, but not great overall
Mr. Mime = for sure worse than Gardevoir even with a niche move in TR, unless maybe you use Fake Out
Jynx = not good for TR or Fake Out Support, bad ability, bad typing, does not add move variety, low defense
Chandelure = Only usable if an Intimidate ally on your team to weaken Sucker Punch from Kangaskhan or Mega Mawile, and that Intimidator cannot lead, or use Focus Sash
Ludicolo = Needs Coba Berry if used in TR
Pikachu = Priority moves kill it easily, weak defense
Exploud =  Doesn't resist much, doesn't SE much, not powerful enough to be worth it
Qwilfish = Not good enough defensive or offensive typing, bad movepool, not suited for TR
Lightningrod = Tested the best lightningrod user there is (Marowak), and it was not useful at all
Cloud Nine = Golduck doesn't work, since cannot OHKO Zard with LO but can with specs, but it only has two good moves, Altaria lacks power and good moves to work well, Lickilicky needs Life Orb/Band to OHKO Zard with Rock Slide
Politoed in TR = not worth it, I can just use Mega Blastoise instead - good enough
Ariados = Decent with String Shot, but Vivillion is better
Vivillion = Good with String Shot, Sleep Powder with Compoundeyes, and gimmicky moves like Powder can be used with it
Smeargle = Not usable since safeguard has priority with many pokemon and too many anti-sleep stuff in general
Rotom-h = Not that useful in EQ discharge since Rotom-W causes great problems and overheat generally does not help much, but counters Charizard-Y well
Pyroar = Usable, good with Zard on the team, not great but good enough, filler though
Gothitelle = With competitive it is OK, Shadow Tag probably is a better ability even for a tr team though, usable tr user but there are prob better pokemon to use like Gardevoir
Aegislash = Usable, but it is made more for singles than doubles, it relies on priority moves to have any kind of speed, and has bad offensive and defensive typing
EQ in TR = won't work, as there are no immunities to EQ that are TR or Fake Out users besides Gardevoir, so I need Chandelure if I want to use a tr team or don't use one at all since Steel types wall me
Fire attackers in TR = need Tar if using two or more, or if a TR user (Like Chandelure)

Aegislash counters: http://veekun.com/dex/pokemon/search?sort=evolution-chain&in_pokedex=14&in_pokedex=13&in_pokedex=12&type=dark&type=fire&type=ghost&type=ground

Beat priority dual screens: Infiltrator, Brick Break, Magic Bounce, Defog
- Possible users:
Scizor, Dragonite (in TR, Defog) - Both are not worth using
Absol, Espeon (Magic Bounce) - Busted
Brick Break (tons of pokemon, like Granbull, Tar) - Not good enough, unless leading with the user
Infiltrator (Chandelure, etc) - Good if leading

Pinsir-Mega Counters: Aerodactyl, Jolteon, Rotom-W, Greninja, Talonflame, Manectric. This mon does not work, because Scarf attacks like Fire Blast, Rock Slide, etc beat it too easy. It also does not OHKO anything unless it SE's.

deaglebeagle: I like rock tomb better IF
deaglebeagle: 1. I don't get stab rock moves
deaglebeagle: 2. I am somewhat slow or medium speed
deaglebeagle: because less flinching
deaglebeagle: more accuracy with rock tomb
deaglebeagle: lowers speed

Usable BST's:

TR:
Chandelure - 385
Slowbro - 385
Slowking - 385
Gardevoir - 373

Goodra @ Assault Vest
Ability: Gooey
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower

- The team of 4 could be tampered with a little bit to improve it. I think taking some Sp D off Manectric and putting it into Sp. Atk could prove useful for finishing off things; thus preventing an attack from hitting it or its partner and being better than more bulk.

Sap Sipper + Petal Blizzard

Miltank @ Life Orb

OU Singles - Gen VI

For now, I am just going to give away a lot of good sets I came up with to beat the current meta-game. Most are probably standard with one move or so that is unique, but probably should be standard since it makes sense and is good. I am for now going to list Pokemon that seem to have potential in OU with their full sets (non-ranked) and explain why they have potential. The bold Pokemon names means the ones worth using in OU and the asterisk next to something means you cannot use it yet because it is impossible to get:

1. Probopass @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Power Gem
- Taunt
- Hidden Power [Fire]

I am not sure about the exact speed right now, but it is important that it out-speeds Skarmory. It might do it with Bold nature, but I mean if Probopass doesn't out-speed Skarmory, it is almost useless in a team of 6 overall. Then all it would be good for is Forretress and Ferrothorn. Its bulk can easily be sacrificed, seeing as it is gimmicky and is already pretty bulky. The plan is to switch in with Magnet Pull, out-speed with Taunt, then set up Stealth Rock, then start killing with HP Fire. Power Gem is just a good 4th move in general with STAB. It kills Pokemon that Probopass walls and has 80 power now.

2. Pyroar @ Life Orb
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Flamethrower
- Hyper Voice
- Yawn
- Substitute

I have never seen Pyroar used, but I imagine it could be pretty decent with high speed and the perfect set for it. Things that wall it get Yawned on, then use Sub' so that you get the advantage and out-speed them no matter what they do. Leftovers may also be used if you find that you use Sub' and Yawn a lot.

3. Florges (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SDef
Bold Nature
IVs: 30 SAtk / 30 SDef
- Moonblast
- Protect
- Wish
- Toxic

This 'mon is like the new Vaporeon.  It is bulky, has Wish, Protect, Toxic, and great typing. It has a decently powerful Fairy type STAB move also. It makes a great WishPasser, that can fit on almost any type of team. Sylveon can be a replacement for Florges if you want a more powerful Moonblast, but it generally is not used much. The defense is good for walling neutral-hitting physical attacks.

4. Talonflame @ Life Orb
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Taunt

This Pokemon has shown to be a very fast and offensive revenge killer; as well as forcing switches.  Priority Brave Bird can really come in handy; however the main problem with this 'mon is recoil and Stealth Rock. Taunt is useful in case it leads; which it can do well, a lot! It works well versus Sticky Web Smeargle leads, and various other things like Forretress. It is hard to wall this mon, but if you do, you really shut it down hard. Rotom-H, Rotom-W, Rock Pokemon, etc really counter it hard.

5. Barbaracle @ Lum Berry/Life Orb
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 112 Spd / 144 HP
Adamant Nature
- Rock Slide
- Razor Shell
- Shell Smash
- Earthquake

Barbaracle is a decent Shell Smasher. Cloyster is worse defensively now, since Talonflame is very common and has a priority Brave Bird. Barbacle resists Brave Bird, so it doesn't need White Herb and will not get revenge killed nearly as easily. I suggest Lum Berry, since it can set up versus Will O Wisp Pokemon and priority T-waves from things like Klefki. Earthquake is for coverage and the other two are good STAB moves in general.

6. Klefki @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 132 Def / 128 SDef
Bold Nature
- Draining Kiss
- Thunder Wave
- Swagger
- Spikes

Spikes is the only move that isn't really necessary. But it works well with the hax support and it has priority. The idea is to normally T-Wave physical mons before Swaggering them, but most likely Swaggering special attackers first; since 0.90 x 0.5 = 45% > 25% chance of ensuring they do not move that turn. Draining Kiss gets STAB and keeps Klefki alive; along with its bulk and Leftovers.

7. Charizard-Mega-Y @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Solar Beam
- Flamethrower
- Overheat
- Air Slash

Drought only lasts 5 turns now, but is plenty enough for when you switch Charizard in, to use Solarbeam effectively. Flamethrower is still powerful in gen IV, along with Overheat - useful for extra power. Air Slash is a good STAB move. Charizard-Mega-Y seems to be worth using, because of its ability and high stats, along with SR being less common.

8. Alakazam-Mega @ Alakazite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Psyshock/Psychic
- Substitute
- Dazzling Gleam/Calm Mind
- Focus Blast

This is one of the best Mega Evolutions. Blastoise and Venusaur are not good Mega Evolutions for example. This 'mon however has enough offense and power to be great. Psyshock is for things like Blissey, and making Alakazam well-rounded in general. Psychic naturally has more power though. Sub' is for status moves primarily, but also if they switch out. Dazzling Gleam is like Focus Blast, except offers extra coverage and has perfect accuracy for those annoying Dark types. Calm Mind can allow it to sweep, but since Focus Blast is only 70% accurate, I would not recommend it. Focus Blast is needed for things like Tyranitar; to OHKO.

9. Gengar-Mega @ Gengarite
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Substitute
- Sludge Wave

Shadow Ball is a good STAB move, along with Sludge Wave. Sludge Wave is more powerful than Sludge Bomb, and it Super Affects Fairy types; which resist Ghost. Focus Blast kills T-tar and other nuisances like Normal types. Sub' is great, to block status moves and get a Sub' up versus something that it walls; such as Gliscor. It blocks status when they switch in Klefki with priority T-wave for example; something taunt does not do unless you taunt the switch-in; but Sub' is good versus anything they might switch in, not just certain mons. Shadow Tag is an awesome ability.

11. Pinsir-Mega @ Pinsirite
Ability: Aerilate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Frustration
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

Since X-Scissor is somewhat weaker than Frustration with STAB and Aerilate, I chose to use Frustration. It will have a 199 power hit with Frustration though as a flying move. But that move is not very good for coverage, just hits hard neutrally. Stone Edge maybe could be used over Rock Slide if you need the extra power for something else besides things like Charizard. This set makes Pinsir fast and powerful.

12. Gyarados-Mega @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Dragon Dance
- Substitute/Taunt
- Avalanche/Ice Fang

This set needs Sub' to work versus Klefki on the switch-in. Taunt could work too if you happened to predict right, and work would well versus Skarmory and other things as well. Waterfall and Avalanche have great coverage together. Avalanche seems better overall than Ice Fang. Sure it lacks the chance to flinch or freeze, but those are only 10% likely respectively. Avalanche has perfect accuracy and can double power if the foe attacks it first; which is why I recommend it over Ice Fang because it is more consistent and seems better overall. Gyarados-Mega has enough Atk to sweep very well after one DD.

13.Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Taunt
- Aqua Tail

The only move I am not sure about is Aqua Tail. But it seems to be the best 4th move, since Ground types tend to have high Defense and should wall Aerodactyl fairly well without it. But the two attacking moves have good coverage, and taunt is useful versus bulky tanks that try to wall it then restore their hp and/or use status moves.

14. Heracross-Mega @ Heracronite
Ability: Skill Link
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake

I skipped Ampharos-Mega, because it is bad. But Heracross-Mega has lots of power. Unfortunately the way sleep works, Resttalk probably would not be ideal, especially since Flying pokemon wall both Megahorn and Close Combat; forcing Heracross to switch out.

15. Houndoom-Mega @ Houndoominite
Ability: Solar Power
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Overheat
- Hidden Power [Grass]/Hidden Power [Fighting]/Will O Wisp

OR

Houndoom-Mega @ Houndoominite
Ability: Solar Power
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SAtk
- Dark Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Nasty Plot
- Substitute

The first set is a general set for a Houndoom not meant for sweeping. It can be used as a revenge killer. The second set is a sweeping set. Moves are mostly self-explanatory, but Hidden Powers got less powerful; which means Dark Pulse does the same to a Pokemon 2x weak to HP Grass now. That means the only use for HP Grass is pretty much for 4x weak mons, and for the very few things that resist both Dark and Fire. The sweeping set has Sub' for status moves, switch-ins, etc. Nasty Plot allows it to use its fast speed and Sp Atk to its advantage.

16. Tyranitar-Mega @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Low Kick
- Dragon Dance

OR

Tyranitar-Mega @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 136 SAtk / 8 Spd / 116 Atk / 248 HP
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam
- Crunch
- Stone Edge

OR

Tyranitar-Mega @ Tyranitarite
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 8 Spd / 248 HP
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Low Kick
- Stealth Rock

The first set is probably the best to take the most advantage of Tar's potential as Mega. It is much more powerful, and the things that out-speed it after one DD don't OHKO it or come close. The second set has coverage versus pretty much every Pokemon, even though it lacks OHKOing mons like Tar; but it is slower anyways so that is almost irrelevant unless an enemy Tar is coming in. The last set doesn't waste the nature and EVs ensuring it has better coverage. It uses all physical attacks and focuses all its power into having almost as much coverage, in order to be a good pokemon for Stealth Rock to set it up. This set allows Tar to lead really well. If it gets Taunted, it can hit hard back.

17. Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 248 HP / 8 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn/Bug Bite
- Superpower
- Swords Dance

Scizor-Mega has a lot of Atk, so might as well make it a sweeper. After all, you cannot use the choice band set. I suppose you could make it have the same exact set, but that seems pointless, since choice band Scizor probably would be better if you had those intentions. This is a common sweeping set mixed in with the chance to use U-turn if you need to, to switch out. Bug Bite would be better if you don't care about U-turn.

18. Blaziken-Mega @ Blazikenite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 136 Spd / 120 HP
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- High Jump Kick
- Rock Slide
- Swords Dance

Blaziken-Mega is powerful and can be a decent sweeper with Speed Boost. Those moves have good coverage and power.

19. Gardevoir-Mega @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 248 HP / 4 Def / 244 SAtk / 12 Spd
Modest Nature
- Moonblast
- Will-O-Wisp
- Psyshock
- Pain Split*

OR

Gardevoir-Mega @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 248 HP / 248 Def / 12 Spd
Calm Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Will-O-Wisp
- Protect

Gardevoir-Mega has lots of power, but is not fast enough to sweep well enough. If you want a slower similar sweeper; use Reuniclus instead; since it has physical bulk also and Recover; along with its ability to wall status moves. This set is good in general to deal with anything that comes in and using Pain Split to stay alive. The second set is the only one that can be used right now. It works similarly to Vaporeon as a WishPasser; except it has more power and can use Will O Wisp to lower the foe's Atk also.

20. Mawile-Mega @ Mawilite
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 248 HP / 8 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch

This Mawile is extremely powerful and has great coverage with its moves. It is a slow sweeper, but has priority to use its power well.

21. Medicham-Mega @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 144 Spd / 112 HP
Adamant Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Ice Punch
- Bullet Punch
- Zen Headbutt

This set allows Medicham to hit a wide variety of Pokemon hard, and can use Bullet Punch to finish off.

22. Manectric-Mega @ Manectite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Flamethrower
- Thunderbolt
- Substitute
- Hidden Power [Ice]/Hidden Power [Fighting]

Manectric at least has decent stats to make itself useful, but it lacks offensive coverage. It wall always be walled by T-tar or Garchomp though; depending on its hidden power.

23. Absol-Mega @ Absolite
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Play Rough
- Swords Dance
- Taunt

Absol-Mega is pretty powerful and its ability is very good at preventing status from stopping its sweeping potential. Play Rough is intended to be like a Fighting move, and hurts Dark and Fighting mons which normally resist its Sucker Punch. Taunt is for things like Skarmory that try to Whirlwind it out. The 4th move is pretty filler though. Doesn't need speed when it has power and STAB priority.

24. Garchomp-Mega @ Garchompite
Ability: Sand Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 208 Spd / 48 HP
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Fang
- Swords Dance

Garchomp-Mega has more power than old Garchomp and seems about as good, but really cannot sweep anymore; since in Gen IV, there are a lot more faster mons now that are good. This Pokemon doesn't seem to be very good in OU.

25. Lucario-Mega @ Lucarionite
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Vacuum Wave
- Flash Cannon
- Aura Sphere

OR

Lucario-Mega @ Lucarionite
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Atk / 232 Spd / 24 HP
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Hidden Power [Ice]

These sets are both about as good in theory. I haven't tested either yet, so I can't recommend one over the other. I just think the special one might be better since it doesn't have to worry about Intimidate, or HP Ice having lower power against Gliscor and other things like Garchomp. Also, Fighting seems to be a better priority move in general. With Flash Cannon Adaptability, Lucario does not need HP Ice, since Gliscor will only be switching in after one Nasty Plot or after being hit by Flash Cannon. Lucario in Gen VI now outspeeds both Garchomp and Gliscor, so it seems a lot better respectively than in last generation. But I won't know until I test it. The physical one has Adamant, since it doesn't need to out-speed things like Gengar if it has Bullet Punch, and Hidden Power Ice does more damage to Gliscor than Flash Cannon Adaptability STAB. Btw, Aggron and Banette are probably not worth using as Mega Evo's.

23. Abomasnow-Mega @ Abomasite
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SDef / 8 SAtk
Sassy Nature
- Blizzard
- Protect
- Wood Hammer
- Leech Seed

This set allows it to have offensive coverage versus both defensive and specially-defensive tanks. It also stays alive with a lot of bulk and Leech Seed. But this Mega form is barely better than old Abomasnow stats-wise. But it lacks leftovers, so I think the original Abomasnow is probably better overall; but still UU as of last generation.

25. Tyrantrum @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rock Head*
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Head Smash
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang

OR

Tyrantrum @ Focus Sash
Ability: Rock Head*
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Fang
- Head Smash
- Dragon Tail

OR

Tyrantrum @ Life Orb
Ability: Rock Head*
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Head Smash
- Dragon Claw
- Dragon Dance
- Fire Fang

The first set has a wide coverage with its many different moves. Jolly also could be used for that one. The second set is a great lead, fire fang is for Forretress and Ferrothorn, etc. Dragon Tail + SR works well. Lastly, the third set can sweep with Dragon Dance and coverage; and is very unexpected. Most of them are either leads with SR or use Tough Claws with Fangs, or use Scarf.

26. Mandibuzz (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Big Pecks
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SDef / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Knock Off
- Whirlwind

Defog is a really good move; it removes all entry hazards and has other added effects. Knock Off increased in power to 65 before STAB; so it can be used as an attacking and phazing move. Whirlwind helps bring in new Pokemon to beat them boosting their stats and helps with Knock Off spam. Roost keeps it alive.

27. Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 Atk / 8 SDef / 248 HP
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Sword
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- King's Shield

This set allows it to take advantage of Stance Change with King's Shield. Sacred Sword has great coverage with Shadow Sneak. Swords Dance allows it to sweep.

28. Heliolisk (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Focus Blast

I thought this guy may not be usable, but it makes a hell of a good Rotom-W counter, and one of the only guys with move like U-turn or Volt Switch; that is powerful enough for it to work. Unfortunately HP's got nerfed to 60 power and Tbolt to 90, but it still is good enough. It has decent coverage.

29. Krookodile (M) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SDef / 216 Spd
Jolly Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Earthquake
- Smack Down
- Fire Fang
- Bulk Up

Krookodile can be used over Landorus as a replacement, since Landorus is not allowed yet. This set should be able to beat Gliscor that lack Toxic with Bulk Up, Smack Down, and EQ. It has good coverage with all of its moves, and Fire Fang allows it to hit things hard like Ferrothorn; that normally wall it hard. Life Orb would make it die too quickly, so I gave it Expert Belt instead. Overall this mon seems pretty low mediocre after testing it awhile. I would recommend using Gliscor instead; as Smack Down seems to only work effectively with Landorus.

30. Scolipede @ Coba Berry/Ganlon Berry
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Substitute
- Baton Pass
- Megahorn

Not sure if this is the best set for it, but the focus is on Scolipede Baton Passing, since it sucks at sweeping even with Speed Boost. If you want a Speed Boost mon, try Blaziken-Mega, Yanmega, etc. But it can Baton Pass some good stat boosts to something like Garchomp-Mega that can really take advantage of it; and is not weak to Flying with high Atk and is not weak to Mach Punch/Vacuum Wave or Aqua Jet. Gale Wings Talonflame gets super old versus this dude though. That is why I recommend Coba Berry. The Ganlon Berry is because it generally has enough Atk for killing things with Megahorn or when it baton passes to a powerful mon; it protects versus priority moves. Almost all the priority moves are physical: Gale Wings BB/Acrobatics, Mach Punch, Extremespeed, Quick Attack, Bullet Punch, Aqua Jet, Sucker Punch, Ice Shard, Water Shuriken, etc (if any left). Vacuum Wave is the only special priority move that I can think of.

31. Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 248 HP / 140 Def / 108 SDef / 12 Spd
Calm Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Moonblast
- Encore

The reason why I chose Clefable is because it beats Trevenant; which is really annoying in OU singles. I needed something immune to Leech Seed, and something that isn't weak to Ghost or Grass attacks either.

32. Diggersby @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Return
- Stone Edge
- U-turn

OR

Diggersby @ Life Orb
Ability: Pickup
EVs: 252 Atk / 36 Spd / 216 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Return
- Agility
- Stone Edge

The first set is good overall for doing a lot of damage as a Scarfer. It is used as a hit and run Pokemon, and a revenge killer; maybe a sweeper near the end. The second set is better-made for sweeping though; since it has even more speed to sweep and has the power with Life Orb. It also is not locked into one move at a time.
